May 15, 1940 Virginia Woolf writes in her diary:
“This idea struck me: the army is the body : I am the brain. Thinking is my fighting.”
Anaïs Abreu uses this quote and takes it to it’s limits. She adds a quote from The waves providing the piece a voice beyond death. Virgina Woolf is still alive.
Bilingual. Edition of 10 numbered pieces. The box and cover of each book is a collage using red thread. The interiors are handpainted using a caligraphy pen.
