What do they eat?
Catalina Kobelt

What do they eat? / ¿Qué comen? is a picture book born from a game that Catalina had with her youngest daughter. Every night before going to sleep, Catalina's daughter invented the craziest answers to what different beings ate.

The imaginative origin of this artist's book created what is described by the artist as "an incomplete (although exhaustive) illustrated treatise on the feeding habits of a brief (but significant) random series of existing beings."

At Errant Press, we worked with Catalina Kobelt to create the first bilingual —Spanish & English— edition . The artist printed and numbered it in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Size: 8.25 x 5.8 in

CaKo, 2022

A book can also exist as an autonomous and self-sufficient form, including perhaps a text that emphasizes that form, a text that is an organic part of that form: here begins the new art of making books. (Ulises Carrion)
